Godfrey Dairy Farm - Winner of AgriTrust of Georgia Quarterly Safety Initiative for the 3rd Quarter
Bogart, Georgia - November 12, 2024 - Congratulations to Godfrey Dairy Farm of Madison, Ga for being named the 3rd Quarter Winner of the AgriTrust of Georgia Quarterly Safety Initiative. The Quarterly Safety Initiative is a program designed to reward the members of AgriTrust of Georgia for completing safety training throughout the year. For every safety training a member company conducts, they can be entered into a drawing. At the end of each quarter, a winner is selected and awarded $1,000.00. To further incentivize, if the winner did not have a lost-time claim during that quarter, the prize is doubled to $2,000.00
In 1980, Dave Clark originally founded Hillcrest Dairy before purchasing Godfrey Dairy in 1991. The first few years, the dairy was only milking 40 cows. Fast forward almost 45 years, and now Dave's daughters, Megan Bell and Ashley Burt, own the dairy milking 1200 cows three times a day. Over those years there have been many changes. Better genetics allows for more milk production and higher quality, more advanced technology allows for easier cattle handling and care, but the heart of the dairy remains the same.
As a family-owned operation, Godfrey Dairy Farm views every employee as an extension of their family and believes that safety is the foundation of a healthy, productive, and sustainable workplace. AgriTrust of Georgia is a group self-insured workers' compensation fund that provides workers' compensation insurance coverage for the agricultural industry in the state of Georgia. The Quarterly Safety Initiative is designed to encourage all Fund members to participate in an active safety program.
